a call to pause before producing.

hey folks,

I wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you and hoping that during this time you’re able to find some rest, relief, and peace in whatever way it shows up for you.

I’m going to unplug social media and the digital world as much as I possibly can, so that I can listen to the trusted voices and guides around me. I want to invite you to join me. Before rushing to have a stance or perspective or argument or response, it may do us some good to pause and process life life-ing. We don’t have to be in a rush to immediately do something, we can rest and tend to ourselves and each other.

Lucille Clifton’s “won’t you celebrate with me” is a poem (from her book, Book Of Light) I reference time and time again when this country continues to show me what it truly is. May you find art, creativity, culture, poetry, creations, that give you whatever it is that you need during this time of unplugging.
