What is Take Care and who writes it?

A newsletter to help creatives take care of our emotional, creative, and relational well-being through a Black cultural lens, delivered every Wednesday.

It’s written by Melissa Kimble, writer, strategist, literacy advocate, and founder of #blkcreatives (closed in 2023).

What is featured in each newsletter?

A reflective subject that acts as a prompt, stories, messages, and resources that help you be intentional in your creative practices and your mental and emotional wellness.

This looks like: Interviews by me with other creators or interviews (written, visual, audio) between other creators, job opportunities, coupon codes to events, links to grants, recipes, notes on my creative practice, and more.

A past newsletter fave: does the perfect plan exist?

What’s the difference between a free and paid subscription?

All subscriptions support the work.

A free subscription allows us to connect with new creatives and communities through the Internet. A paid subscription supports me in sustaining (one of my new favorite words!) this newsletter - even if you give one month and cancel the next month or two.

Do you offer advertising or sponsorship spots?

Yep! Email the newsletter hub or shoot an email to thetakecarenewsletter@gmail.com

Thank you for being a part of this space!

Happy you’re here.
